Loretta Blanche Thebarge Zoby, 94, of the 4500 block of Princess Anne Road, died 
Jan. 19, 1999, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Zoby was a resident of Tidewater for most of her life. She was loved by all 
that knew her, and will be deeply missed by all. She was the daughter of the late 
Joseph George Thebarge and Emily Harriet Coutoure Thebarge and was the youngest 
of 13 siblings. She was the widow of Ernest George Zoby, to whom she was married 
for 50 years. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in 
Virginia Beach and a member of its altar guild. She was a member of the Legion of 
Mary and the September Club.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest Vincent Zoby of Newport News and J. Gerard 
Zoby of Virginia Beach; and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Carol Zoby Moore of 
Norfolk, Kenneth Vincent Zoby of Newport News, David Christopher Zoby of 
Concordia, Kan., Jennifer Lee Zoby of Glendale Heights, Ill., Courtney Claire 
Zoby, Allyson Lauraine Zoby and Meredith Marie Zoby, all of Virginia Beach.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory 
the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The 
rosary will be recited in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, at 6:30 p.m. today.
