Mr. Zoby was born in Norfolk. He founded L.T. Zoby and Sons, mechanical contractors. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Master Plumbers Association, the Elks Club, Moose Club, Ryan Club, the Norfolk Sports Club and the Knights of Columbus. He also was an honorary member of Fraternal Order of Police. He sponsored various recreational teams. Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Zoby; three daughters, Joan Z. Christie of Virginia Beach, and Ann Zoby and Barbara Zoby, both of Norfolk; two sons, Leo T. Zoby Jr. and Ronald A. Zoby, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mildred Z. Garcia of Virginia Beach and Nora Z. Schwartz of Norfolk; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Julian B. Goodman and the Rev. Thomas J. Nee. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk. Friends may join the family at 607 Mayflower Drive, Norfolk, after burial.
