GEORGE M. ZOBY

NORFOLK - George Michael Zoby, 61, of 714 New Jersey Ave., died Friday in a 
hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Christine Moberg Zoby.  He retired 
from Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility after 32 years.  He was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, National Association of Superintendents, Old 
Dominion Alumni Association, St. Anthony's Guild, Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B. P. O. 
Elks and American Legion Post No. 60.

Besides his widow, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Regina Jester of 
Virginia Beach and Mrs. Mildred Fann of Houston, Texas; a son, G. Michael Zoby of 
Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. George Ackaway of Norfolk; two brothers, Ernest G. 
Zoby and Joseph G. Zoby, Jr., both of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.  H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, has 
charge.  A Christian wake service will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral 
home.  The family suggests memorials to Children's Hospital of the King's 
Daughters.
