ERNEST G. ZOBY

NORFOLK - Ernest George Zoby, 71, of 1070 W. 42nd St., the husband of Mrs. Loretta 
Thebarge Zoby and a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Friday in his home.

He worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 36 years and retired.  He was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Other survivors include two sons, Vincent Zoby of Newport News and Gerard Zoby of 
Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Berdie Ackaway, and a brother, Joseph Zoby, both of 
Norfolk;  and seven grandchildren.

The rosary will be said Sunday night at 7 in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.  A 
funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Chapel, 37th Street and Colley Avenue, by the Rev. Thomas B. Nee.  Burial will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The family will be at 2701 Chester Forest Court, Virginia 
Beach.
