Abigail Adele Zoby, 68 years old, passed away, July 17, 2017 at Kennestone 
Hospital after courageously battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease(ALS).
Abigail resided in Cobb County, GA, for many years with her husband while raising 
three children. Her proudest accomplishment was her volunteer work with the Canine 
Assistants program. Abby became a certified trainer, developing specialized 
dogs/heroes in aiding those with physical handicaps. Her hard work benefited 
recipients by allowing the freedom only service dogs/heroes can provide.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph G. Zoby, originally from 
Norfolk, VA., sons, Christopher A. Zoby, Daniel N. Zoby and daughter April K. Zoby 
Eisenacher and husband, Billy.
Preceded in death by mother, Mary R. Ashton, father, Arthur E. Ashton, brother, 
Allen R. Ashton of Pittsburg, PA.
Survived by Arthur B. Ashton of Scottsdale, AZ, and sister April A. Jacobson of 
Mountaintop, PA.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk, on August 
4, 2017, at 11:00am.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 154 West Government Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
