William O'Doherty (born c1680) being seven years of age is by this agreement 
bound to serve James Nipper, his heirs, executors or administrators until he 
attains the age of three and twenty years; ye said Nipper allowing him all 
things necessary for an apprentice during ye said term and to give him one 
year schooling after the expiration of two years, to commence from after 
this time, and during the time he shall serve after the said one year 
schooling to the intent he may improve himself, the said James Nipper hath 
engaged himself to do his utmost endeavor at leisure time to keep him to his 
book. (William is thought to be brother of Neale Doherty c1670-1725 of 
Northumberland County - father unknown).
