She the said Mary Ann having proved to the Court that she was the widow of the said William and the Court having examined into the circumstances of the said Edwards having found them to be indigant . It is therefore ordered that the said Mary Ann Edwards be recommended to the Executive as a proper object to be placed on the Pension List. A copy Cha. Clarke D. C?? I do, with the advice of this Council, hereby certify that Mary Ann Edwards, widow of William Edwards, is continued on the list of pensioners with an allowance of six pounds yearly, commencing on the first day of January 1797. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this 25th day of September 1798. Harvey my true and lawful attorney to receive of the auditor of publick accounts the amount that may have been due to the said Mary Ann Edwards up to the time of her death on account of her said pension. Given under my hand and seal this 15th day of October--1838 Teste: Isaac Edwards Warrant received on 15th October, 1838 of ten pounds.
