  I do with advice of the Council hereby certify that Margaret Swanson, widow of 
John Swanson who was a private in the 15th Virginia Regiment and who died in the 
service of the United States is allowed the sum of 10 pounds yearly, commencing 
on the first day of January 1787.  Given under my hand as Governor of the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond,  this 27th day of March 1787.
