Item its my Will and I give to my loving Wife all my estate both real and personal as long as she shall remain my Widdow but if she Should marry Item I give to my Wife the Estate that I got by her at marriage and as more of my estate either real or personal Item its my Will & I give to my Daughter Nancy Downing Hurst all my Land and negroes together with all the rest of my estate That I now hold or that I may hereafter hold to her and her Heirs forever Lawfully begotten of her body provided my wife should not be with Child but if She should be with Child and it should be a boy child then I give all my land with its apperteuances to him and his heirs forever lawfully begotten of his body Item its my Will that if it should be a Girl child or if my Wife should not be with Child, that my Daughter Nancy Downing Hurst Shall have the whole of my estate as given above but if she should die without an Heir Lawfully begotten of her body in that case Item its my Will & I give the whole of my estate both real and personal to my Brother Isaac Hurst, to him & his Heirs forever and I do hereby affect my loving Wife Winnifred Hurst Executrix and my Brother Isaac Hurst, and friend and Relation Thomas Hurst my Executors of this my last Will and Testament in information whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my Seal this 2nd day of February one thousand seven hundred and ninety four. Sherman Thomas Hurst Winnefred Hurst At a Court of monthly session held for Northumberland County at the Courthouse on Monday the 9th of June 1794 This last Will and Testament of Kemp Hurst deceased was this day proved in open Court by the Oaths of Ann Sherman, Alice S. Sherman and Thomas Hurst Witnesses Thereto and is ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Winnefred Hurst the Executrix and Thomas Hurst one of the Executors therein named Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probat [sic] thereof under form they having taken the Oath of Executors and together with Jonias Gaskins and Jesse Crowther their Securities entered into and acknowledged a Bond in the penalty of five hundred pounds conditioned as the Law directs.
