Rorer Cemetery Location: 3 miles east of Burkeville, Virginia, on Richmond Road. Nottoway County, Virginia DATE: About 1716. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: (blank) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The name of this cemetery Glenmore, was changed a few years ago, to Wright World. It has been neglected and the stones have been removed or stolen. One grave had a horizontal stone said to have been imported from England, and bore the following inscription: Here lie the remains of Amy Watson daughter of William Watson and Amy his wife who departed this life the 20th September 1769 in the 18th year of her age All the virtues, graces and shining accomplishments which adorn the sex, were united in the aimable young lady, to make her death sincerely regretted and her memory ever dear to her acquaintances. There was another slab with the date 1716, Ruth Watson but they all have been taken away and the burying ground is unkept.
