L. Cole Cemetery Location: 3 miles from Blackstone, Virginia on highway #460 Nottoway County, Virginia DATE: (blank) OWNERS: (blank) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: “Morgansville” was here during the Revolutionary War and in the raid in which they captured Peter Francisco. The graveyard is so grown up that only a few markers are standing. However, I did find one standing with the following inscription: Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth D. Morgan Consort of Samuel W. Morgan and daughter of William and Martha Eivers She was born March 2, 1816 Married March 13, 1832 And died August 9, 1833 I did root down in the honeysuckle and other growth and find a marker that was lying on the ground with the following inscription: Sacred to the memory of Samuel Morgan Who was born January 15, 1770 and died January 11, 1834 SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informant: W.
