NOTTOWAY COUNTY, VIRGINIA - DEED BOOK 1 Page 60 Charles Anderson - Wiley Ward This Indenture made this first day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety Between Charles Anderson of Nottoway County of the one part and Wiley Ward of the said County of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Charles Anderson for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid before the sealing adn Delivery of these presence the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledg, hath bargained sold and delivered and doth by these presence, grant, bargain sell and deliver unto the said Wiley Ward his heirs and assigns one certain Tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the county aforesaid a part of the tract of land whereon the said Charles Anderson now lives, containining one hundred acres, be the same more or less & bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a white oak in Isaac Hardys line, thence a new line south fourteen degrees, west eighty poles to a corner pointers, thence a new line, south seventy six degrees east one hundred and twenty poles to a corner stone on a path near to said Andersons fence, thence a new line north fourteen degrees east one hundred and thirty one & half poles to Walthalls line at the new road, thence westward along his line to a corner on the said road, thence along his line to a corner in Joseph Smiths line thence along his line to the said Isaac Hardy line, thence along his line to the beginning including all woods, ways, waters and water courses thereon standing, growing and being and the reversion covenant with the said Wiley Ward his heirs and assigns that he the said Charles Anderson his heirs Exers & Admns will warrant and forever defend and good and lawfull right title in fee simple to the above granted land & premises unto the said Wiley Ward his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull claim or claims of all and every person or person whatsoever. Anderson's line thence along her line south twenty five degrees west twenty eight poles to a corner pine stump (near said Bagleys fence) thence along the parten line south sixty seven degrees east eighty seven poles to a corner in his field thence along a new line north twenty eight and half degrees west eighty nine poles to the beginning including all woods ways waters watercources and improvements thereon standing growing and being and likewise all the right title interest ... and demand whatsoever of him the said Charles Anderson of in and to the premises or any part thereof To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises together with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said George Bagley his heirs and assigns forever. Witnesseth that the said Charles Anderson for and in consideration of the sum of forty six pounds, sixteen shillings current money to him in hand paid before the delivery of these presents the receipt he doth acknowledge hath granted bargained and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Britain Moore his heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land containing by survey seventy eight acres situate lying and being in the aforesaid county of Nottoway and bounded as followeth Viz Beninning at a corner scrub oak between Robert Johns lnad the the sd Britain Moore, thence a south west course to Jackson's Road thence up the said road to Burwell Jackson's line thence along said line to Andersons line thence along said line to the beginning Including all weighs, woods, and watercourses, standing, growing and being.
