Harrison Deed, 1796 - Nottoway Co. VA Deed Book 1 page 586 This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of November one Thousand Seven hundred and Ninety six between MARY HARRISON Sr of the County of Prince Edward of the one part and MARRY HARRISON jr of the County of Nottoway and Guardian of JAMES DILLARD HARRISON,STEPHEN SHELTON HARRISON, GINCY RANDOLPH HARRISON, POLLY RAMSEY HARRISON, ABNER HARRISON, CHRISTOPHER HARRISON and WASHINGTON MEREDITH HARRISN, infants and distributies of CHRISTOPHER HARRISON deceased of the other part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid MARY HARRISON sr for and inconsideration of Fifty pounds current money to he in hand paid by the said CHRISTOPHER HARRISON deceased the fifth day of July one Thousand seven hundred and seventy four. The receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted, bargained, sold infeofed and confirmed in fee to the said MARY HARRISON jr Guardian to the infants and distributies of the said CHRISTOHER HARRISON as aforesaid, one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the counties of Nottoway and Prince Edward upon Great Nottoway river and snales creek-- containing one hundred acres be the same more or lwss and bound as follows Viz: Begining at WILLIAM DUDLEY corner Burch or Great Nottoway river and runing along said DUDLEY's line North 16 Degrees East 24 poles to a corner, thence along the said Dudley's line 7 Degrees East 52- poles to a corner in Cockes line, Thence along said Cockes line North 50 degrees west 35 1/4 poles to a new corner pine on the said Cockes line, thence along a new line South 35 1/2 degrees West 60 poles to a corner Walnut on Snales creek the south side, thence South 7 degrees west to 25 1/4 poles to a corner parsycamine tree, thence South 65 Degrees west nine poles to a corner stone thence South 10 degrees West CC poles along a new line to a corner beach on the said river thence down te river as it meanders to the beginning. To have and hold the said Tract or parcel of land with all its rights members, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or apportaining to her the said MARY HARRISON jr Guardian as aforesaid and to her heirs, and the said MARY HARRISON jr for herself and her heirs, and against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever will forever warrant and defend the right and title in and to the said bairgained tract or parcel of land to the said MARY HARRISON jr Guardian of the said JAMES DILLARD HARISON, STEPHEN SHELTON HARRISON, GINCY RANDOLPH HARRISON, POLLY RAMSAY HARRISO, ABNER HARRISON, CHRISTOPHER HARRISON and WASINGTON MEREDITH HARRISON Infants and distributies of the said CHRISTOPHER HARRISN deceased and to their heirs and assigns and the heirs and successors of the said MARY HARRISON jr as Guardian ----aforesaid.
