March 24 1880 In the name of God, I pronounce this to be my last will & testament. I bequeath the whole of my estate, both real and personal of whatever stature or kind to my herein named nieces and nephews, Vizt: Margaret H. Williams, S. India Williams, Emma P. Williams, Fayette C. Williams and Harrison Williams to have & to hold to them and their heirs forever - I request Margaret & S. India Williams to act as Executrixes of this my last will & Testament without requiring of them any security whatever, as regards pecuniary responsibility for the management of the said bequeathed estate - hoping & believeing that they will consult with "true friends" as to the best manner of managing the said estate to promote them interest. In Witness whereof, I have affix(sic) my hand & seal the day & year above written. P. E. Williams Seal In Nottoway County Court December 1st 1881 A paper purporting to be the last will and testament of P. E. Williams deceased was this day produced in Court and offered for proof and there being no subscribing witnesses to the same, the handwriting of the testator was proven by the oath of A. S. Epes, J. L. Irby and Norman Epes, and ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of P. E. Williams, dec'd.: And Margaret and S. India Williams, the Executrixes named in the will refusing to take upon themselves, the burden of the Execution thereof: On motion of Jno. P. Irby, who entered into oath and acknowledged a bond, conditioned according to law in the penalty of $2000.00 with J. L. Irby and W. C. Irby, his sureties, who being sworn said that after the payment of their debts and those for which they were bound and expected to have to pay, they were each worth the penalty of said bond, letters of administration, with the will annexed, on the estate of P. E. Williams dec'd: were granted him in due form. The said admr. took the oath required by law. transcriber's note: If there was more to this I didn't get it, but I dont believe there was any more.
