LAND GRANT BOOK 19 - PAGE 980:
Dated 1 June 1741
In the 14th year of the reign of King George the 2nd, a grant of 
land was given to DAVID MAGART and Daniel Weitreith for 300 acres 
described as lying in that part of Orange County in the Colony of 
Virginia called Augusta.  The land was lying on the Northside of 
the South River of the Shanando River and joining lands of William 
Pippips and others. In this grant David Magart said he was a 
resident of Frederick County in VA.
