Ashby Company (1) of the 7th Regiment of Va Infantry, bornin Spottsylvania Cty in the State of Virginia, aged 42 years, 6 feet _______inches high, dark complexion, blue eyes, black hair and by occupation a farmer was enlisted by drafted by Col. Preston at Orange Ct. House on the 1st day of April 1862 to serve during war and is now entitled to discharge by reason of ( appears to say) G. O. N 36 ___Genl Office. The said John J. Sorrell has pay due from enlistment. There is due to him ______________traveling allowance from near Richmond, the place of discharge, to Orange CtHouse, the place of enrolment, transportation not being furnished in king.
