Stevens’s Regemt in the year 1762 until Legally Discharged and the said Brock on his oath Declares that he has not before Located or Sold his claim to Fifty acres of Land that he was Entitled to by Proclamation in the year 1763. Except the certific from Albemarle Court herewith sent [?]which appears to the Court have been refus’d by the Register of the Land office. Page 126 – 23 Mar 1780 David Watts proved that he served as a soldier untill Duly Discharged in Col. Byrds Regmt. In the year 1758 not being of the Militia and made oath that he never in this or any other court obtaind a warrant or certificate for his Military services agreeable to a Proclamation 1763 David Watts proved in Court that heir at Law to Chs Watts Deced who served as a soldier until duly Dischd his Death in Col Byrds Regemt in the year 1758 not being of the Militia and the sd David proved made oath that he never before in this or any other court obtain’d a Warrant or certificate for the sd Chs services agreeable to a Proclam. 1764. John Lamb heir at Law to James Lamb Deced prov’d that the sd James served as a soldier until Duly Discharged in Col. Byrds regmt. 1760 until and the sd John made oath that no warrant nor certificate he has never recd a warrant or certificate for the Millitary [sic] service of the sd James agreeable to a Proclam. 1763. Wm Cave proved that he served as a non commissioned officer until duly Discharged not being of the Milita [sic] in Col Byrds Regemt. In the year 1760 and made oath that he never befor [sic] claimed obtain’d a warrant or certificate Except at the Last Court he obtain’d a certificate of a soldiers Right for fifty acres, for his Military services agreeable to a Procl 1763. Page 130 – 27 Apr 1780 Wm Sims proved that he served as a soldier until Duly Discharged in Capt Hoggs Compy of Rangers in the year 1759 not being of the Militia and made oath that he never in this or any other court obtained a warrant or certificate for his Military services agreeable to a Proclamation 1763. Ordered to be certified to the Register of the Land office Ambrose Powell Gent. proved that he served as a staff officer untill [sic] Duly Discharged in the Virginia Forces in the year 1755. not being of the Militia and made oath that he never in this or any other court obtained a warrant or certificate for his Military services agreeable to a Proclamation of 1763 which is Ordered to be certified to the Register of the Land office James Roberts made oath that he served until Duly Discharged as a soldier in Capt. Wagoners Compy of Regulars for the Defence [sic] of this state in the year 1757 not being of the Militia and also made oath that he never in this or any other court obtained a warrant and certiicate for his Military services agreeable to a Proclamation of 1763. which is ordered to be certified to the Register of the Land office Page 133 – 25 May 1780 Francis Gibbs proved that he served as a soldier in Capt Hoggs Compy of Rangers untill [sic] Duly Discharged in the year 1758 & made oath that he never in this or any other court obtain’d a warrant or certificate for his Military services which is Ordered to be certified to the Register of the Land office Page 134 – 25 May 1780 Wm Smith Proved that he served as a soldier untill [sic] Duly Discharged in Capt Hoggs Compy of Rangers in the year 1758 and made oath that he never in this or any other court obtained a warrant or certificate for his Military services which is ordered to be certified to the Register of the Land office Page 160 – 27 Sept 1781 James Coleman Proved that he was heir at Law to John Coleman Deced who was an Ensign in The Continental Service a Native of this State Page 262 – 25 Mar 1784 James Alexander Prov’d that he is heir at Law to his Brother Benja Alexander who died a Soldier in the Continental Service Page 263 – 25 Mar 1784 Hugh Jones Prov’d that he was next of kin Jos. Jones Deced who died a Soldier in the Continantal [sic] Service Page 279 – 24 Jun 1784 Wm Strother Hawkin Prov’d that he is heir at Law to Moses Hawkin Deced who was Capt in the Continantal [sic] Army Page 282 – 25 Jun 1784 Wm Sutton Prov’d that he is heir at Law to John Sutton & James Sutton – who were [?] Continantal [sic] Soldiers in the Georgia Battalion & died in the sd Service which is Ordered to be certified Page 284 – 22 July 1784 Mary Tracey Widow of John Tracey who died a Soldier in the Continantal [sic] Service Leaving no Issue nor any heirs as she knows of which is Ordered to be Certified Page 286 – 26 Aug 1784 Daniel Thornton Prov’d that he is heir at Law to Wm Thornton Deced who died a Soldier in the Continental Service Page 305 – 24 Mar 1785 John Boze Proved that he is heir at Law to Wm Boze who died a Soldier in the Continental Service in the July year 1780 Admn Granted Massa [Mapa ?] Gresham on the Estate of John Gresham Decd where upon she with Harry [Hany?} Winslow her security Entered into Bond for the Same in the Sum of £50 and it being prov’d that the sd Jno Gresham Died a Soldier in the Contl Serivce in Feby 1778 – was Enlisted in Feby [?] 1777 Page 306 – 24 Mar 1785 A certificate granted from Rowld Thomas dated the 18th of Jany 1785 in which Peter Mountague decld on oath that John Abell died a soldier in the Contl Service as by the certificate will more fully appear. Ordered that the sd certificate be Lodg’d in the office and it appearg that the sd Jno Abell died without Issue and Margaret Abell is the Widow of sd Abell Ordered that the same be certified to the Auditor Page 311 – 28 Apr 1785 Wm Chizham Proved that he is heir at Law to James Chisham Deced who died a Solder [sic] in the Contl Service in March 1778 and was Inlisted [sic] the 2d of Jany 1777 and ordered to be certified Page 314 – 28 Apr 1785 Thomas Rosson Prov’d by the Oath of Jno Bledsoe that he is heir at Law to Wm Rosson who died a soldier in the Contl Service which is Ordered to be certified Page 323 - 23 Jun 1785 James Adams Proved heir at Law to John Adams deced who died a Soldier in the Continatal [sic] Service in August 1782 and Ordered to be Certified Page 331 – 25 Aug 1785 John Barnett who was a Soldier in the Regmt of Guards at Albemarle Barracks Proved that he serv’d the Term during the stay of the convention Troops at sd Barracks which was the Term of his Enlistment which is Ordered to be certified Page 332 – 25 Aug 1785 Thomas Landrum Proved that he is heir at Law to Josiah Landrum Deced who died a soldier in the 2d Batln of Contl Troops for the state of Georgia which is Ordered to be certified Page 340 – 29 Oct 1785 James Lintor Prov’d that he is heir at Law to James Lintor Deced who died a Soldier in the 2d Regiment of the Continantal [sic] Troops for the State of Georgia who has recd no satisfaction for his Serfices [sic] which is ordered to be certified Page 349 – 26 Jan 1786 Johnson Watts Proved that he is heir at Law to Robt Watts & Benja Watts Deced Soldiers who died in Service Robt in the Continantal [sic] Benja Militia which is Ordered to be Certified Page 353 – 23 Mar 1786 Henry White Proved that he is heir at Law to Ambrose White who died a Solder [sic] in the Regt of Guards Page 367 – 27 Jun 1786 James Furnish Orphan of John Furnish Deced Proved that he is heir at Law to his Uncle William Furnish Deced who died a soldier in the Continental Service in the Seventh Virginia Regmt. To be sent to James Duncan [?] and at the time of the Death of the sd Wm his Mother Jane & Samuel, Jacob, Thos & James his Brothers Mary, & Eliza his sisters were & still are Living Page 368 – 27 June 1786 Ann Powell Proved that she is mother & heir to John Bush who died a Soldier in the Contl Service in the 7th Virga Regtm. Catlett Jones mentioned in the Pension List oppinion [sic] of Court that he ought not to be countd [?] not wounded in the Public Service & being able to get his living John Groom Intitled [? – smudged] to his Pension Lost his Legg Andw Leach Dead [line after this marked out and difficult to read. It mentions a “Pension for his wife named Judith Miller Maried [sic]” – and “Thos Doolen to show cause why] Wm Palmer Intitled [sic] to his Pension Lost a Legg Page 387 – 28 Dec 1786 Catlett James is recomended [sic] to be Put on the Pension List he being disabled by being in the Contl Army Page 408 – 24 Apr 1787 Ordered that the Sherf pay to Jos. Spencer for levies that was charged to him in the year 1777 & 1778 while he was in the Service of the Army Page 418 – 25 Jun 1787 Wm Palmer made oath that he is the Person who has obtained a Pension Warrant for £15 Page 419 – 25 Jun 1787 Ordered that the Sherf pay John Groom £6.8.0 for the Ballance [sic] of his Pension to the 31st of Decr 1785 Page 420 – 26 Jun 1787 Ordered that the Sheriff pay Wm Palmer his Pension of £15 bearing date the Eighth of Novm 1786 Page 460 – 28 Apr 1788 Ordered that the Sheriff pay Catlett James out of the taxes he receives £36 for his Pensctions [sic] for the years 1786 1787 & 1788 Catlett James a Pensioner is very Infirm and is entitled to his Pension for the Present year. Page 474 – 29 Jul 1788 Ordered that the Sherf pay John Groom a Pensioner £15 Page 477 – 25 Aug 1788 It was Proved to the satisfaction of the Court that Thos Walker was wounded in the arm which is rendered useless in Gates’s Defeat.
