Their object is not to give decent sepulture to the remains of our heroic boys, but to obtain from the government the amount ($8) paid for each dead body thus recovered and burried. At Sutherland's depot, they have anticipated Mr. Morriss. They removed not only the "unknown" but those also that were marked, first destroying the head-boards so as to prevent identification. -Peterburg Index.
