Burton, a brakesman on the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, the finding of whose dead body, under horrible circumstances, was noticed in the Native Virginian about two weeks ago. The arrest was made by Detective Knox, of Richmond, who has been on the murderer's tract for several days. A suit of Burton's clothes was found on the accused when he was arrested. The prisoner denies any knowledge of the murder, but gives contradictory statements about the matter.
