Native Virginian  15 Dec 1867
A little son of Dr. Minor, of Bridgewater, Rockingham county, aged three years, 
went to the ash-hopper to look for eggs. The servant girl had placed a bucket of 
hot ashes in the hopper, and he stood upon them. His cries were heard but too late 
to save him. His feet were so badly burned that he died in a few days.
