My soul to the Almighty God: and all my just debts being first paid: my body being decenly buried by my executor hereafter named. I give and bequeath to my soon Linsey Harris: one horse and 1 feather bed and 1 cow which he hath already I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Harris one horse which he hath already had. Likewise gave him one feather bed and 1 cow when he comes of age or marries. I give and bequeath to my son John Harris one hor one fether bed and one cow when he comes of age or marries I give and bequeath to my soon Lewis Harris one horse one fether bed and 1 cow when he comes of age or marries I give and bequeath to my daughter Betty Harris one yellow bay mare: one fether bed and one cow when she comes of age or marries I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Harris one horse one feather bed and one cow when she comes of age or marries I lend to my loving wife during her life or widowhood all the remainder of my estate both ___ and personal and at her death or marriage to be equally divided between my six children that is to say my land is to be equally divided between my four sons Linsey Harris, Thomas Harris, John Harris and Lewis Harris and if either of my soons should chuse to give up their part of the land to their other brothers in that case they shall recve in full the value out of the remainder of my estate, it is likewise my will that my two daughters Betty Harris and Mary Harris should have out of the remainder of my estate equal in proportion to the value of my soons land and if either of my children should dye without heir that their part should be equally divided between the living and the balance of my estate to be qually divided amongst my children then living--and lastly I constitute and appoint my two soons Linsey Harris and Thomas Harris executors of this my last will and testament desolving all others as witnefs my hand and seal this 11th day of February 1782. Signed sealed and delivered in presents of Vivion Daniel, Lawrence Young, Will Douglas, John Freeman Thomas Harris his __ mark At a court held for Orange County on Thursday 22 August 1782 this last will and testament of Thomas Harris dec. being presented into court by Lindsey Harris and Thomas Harris executors herein named and proved by the oaths of Lawrence Young and John Freeman two of the witnifses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the executors who made oath according to law certificate is granted them for obtaining probate thereof in due form whereupon they with Jacob Williams and John Right their securities entered into bond for the same in the sum of one thousand pounds.
