Orange County Virginia Will Book 4 - Page 381 Will of William Lee: Probated 22-Oct-1810 Be it known that I William Lee of the County of Orange being advanced in years and weak in body but of sound mind and memory and bearing my end in mind do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in the form following viz. 1st It is my wish (?) and desire that my wife Sarah and my sons William and Charles may serve as executors of my will 2nd It is my desire that my wife Sarah to have possession and enjoy during her life after my decease my plantation stock of horses cattle & household and kitchen furniture excepting that if any of my children shall get married during her life that she will give unto them such or of such value as I have given unto those of my children which are married and that what ever debts I may owe shall be paid out of my estate. 3rd It is my desire that my son Abner continue to possess and enjoy that part of my land which he now occupies beginning at the branch and running to the west line of my tract of land 4th It is my desire that after the death of my wife the balance of my land may be equally divided among my sons William, Charles, Nathaniel, Joseph and James, Abner being ---- in the possession of his proportion and that they my sons may then have full title and right to convey the same to their heirs or assigns. 5th It is my desire that after the decease of my wife all the moveables then in her possession be sold and the proceeds thereof so divided that my daughters Elizabeth (now Elizabeth Gambrell) Jeany and Patsy may have as much value as my sons so that all my children may inherit from me as near and equal proportion of my estate as the nature thereof can or may admit.
