These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. ----------------------------------------------------------- Orange Co., VA Will Book #3 Page 314 Will of Daniel Singleton In the name of God Amen, I Daniel Singleton of Orange County of Virginia being in health & of sound and perfect memory (Blessed be God) Do make and ordain this my last will & testament of form following (that is to say) my will and desire is that my Body be buries in a decent & Christ like manner at the discretion of my executors here after named and Secondly all such Dedts as I shall justly owe at the time of my death be paid out of my estate by my Executors as to my estate both real and personal I dispose thereof as follows. Then I give unto my son Manoah Singleton a tract of land adjoining to that tract I gave to my son Manoah Singleton containing one hundred and ninety eight acres which we have already had in popifsion of since became my property. Then I give to my daughter Lois Looker the same tract of land that I gave to my son Edmond Singleton already been in her popifision and agreed to take it for her portion of full part of my estate but know of whither add a present to her with fifteen pounds cash to be paid out of my Estate by my Executors. Then I give to my daughter Susannah Lancaster one feather bed, one cow, ond two sheep already in Popifision and for the further part of my estate in leiu of giving to my first daughter Susannah Lancaster I give unto her present three youngest daughters namely Sarah, Susannah & Elizabeth fifteen pounds each to them and their heirs and of signs forever but should they or either of the above childrendie before they come of age or marry that my desire is that the surviving take the part alloted to the Deceased. Then I give to my daughter Martha Proctor one cow already in Popifsion also five pounds cash to be paid as above. I give to my daughter Mary Perry twenty pounds cash to be paid as above. I give to my daughter Mary Perry twenty pounds cash as above. The above legacies I give and confirm unto the above children & to their heirs and asigns forever and the residue of my estate proper & the money divided amongst my children here after named equally or their heirs should either one die before such division, Manoah Singleton, Edmond Singleton, Martha Proctor, Joannah Lancaster; I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Richard C. Webb and my two sons-in-laws Uriah Proctor & Rich. Lancaster Executors. It is my last will & hereby make nul & void all and every will & testament in writing wehere-of I have/haven't set my hand & seal this tenth day of Mov. one thousand seven hundred and ninety two.
