Impremis I lend unto my beloved wife NELLY WOOD all my estate both real and personal during her natural life and at her death I give my said estate as followeth-----Item I give unto my daughter SUSANNAH RICHARDS all that part of the land I live on on the north side of G______? to her her heirs and assigns forever. Item I give the remaining part of my land unto my son JAMES to him his heirs and assigns forever likewise and ? forever. Item I give unto my son ELLIOTT one bed and furniture forever. Item I give unto my two daughters TABITHA JONES and ELIZABETH JONES one cow and calf each forever. Item all the rest of my estate I give as follows ____? two thirds to my son JAMES and the remaining third to my daughter SUSANNAH RICHARDS to them their heirs and assigns forever. Lastly I appoint my loving wife NELLY WOOD Executrix and my son JAMES Executor of this my last will witness my hand and seal this fifth day of March 1779. At a court held for Orange County on Thursday the 20th day of March 1785 This last will and testament of John Wood Decd being presented into court by James Wood one of the executors therein named and proved by the oath of Ambrose Richards and James Jones two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said executor who made oath according to law certificate is granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form whereupon he with William Richards his security entered into and acknowledged their bond for the same in ght sum of one hundred pounds. Agreeable to the above order we the subscribers have appraised the estate of John Wood deceased in current money and make return of the same as follows being sworn according to law------------ One feather bed and furniture Old Chest Flour Wheel Black walnut table/ 5 chairs / 1 cooking ? 2 juggs/ iron pot / 2 old ? 2 pair pot hooks/ 1 pair fire tongs old shovel/ dishes and two ? old plates pewter spoons/ one old frying pan Washing tubb and 3 water pails meal sifter/ ladle 1 road ? 1 ? and yearling Richard C.
