Morris Cemetery Location: 3 miles east of Verbena, Virginia, on the south side of Route #609. Page County, Virginia DATE: Unknown. OWNERS: Now owned by the United States Government. DESCRIPTION: This family burying ground is in very bad condition. It is grown up in bushes. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: We have no record of the date when it was established, but the old Blose place was a grant from King George III. This graveyard has passed down for give generations and the land had never been sold until recently in 1936. Wash Blose, who obtained a grant from King George, was buried here, but there is no inscription on the marker to his grave or any of the older graves. Wash Blose settled here on this estate several years after Adam Miller settled in this valley.
