Morris Cemetery Location: .25 mile east of Ingham, Virginia, on the hill side east of Norfolk Western Railroad. Page County, Virginia DATE: Oldest inscription, 1816. OWNERS: Mrs. S.P. Comer, present owner. (1936) DESCRIPTION: This is a privately owned graveyard, with many graves and few markers. The graveyard is well over one hundred years old, but is in very good condition. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This is a very large country graveyard, and like most of the old graves they have very few inscriptions on the markers. The graves of W.H. Ory is the oldest, being well over one hundred years old. Michael and Susannah Summers are the grandfather and grandmother of Captain George Summers who was executed at Rude’s Hill, near Newmarket by a Federal officer, June 27, 1865. The following are the inscriptions on the tombstones: In Memory of E.D. Doeeffmyer Died March 20, 1855 W. H. Mayao Died 1844 In Memory of W.M.
