PAGE COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Huffman and Thomas Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Huffman and Thomas graveyard: 1936 Sep. 25 Research made by Vivian Black Cemetery Location: 6.33 miles southwest of Luray, Virginia, on County Route #645. It is on the south side of the road and several hundred feet back. Page County, Virginia DATE: None. OWNERS: It is now owned by Walter Huffman. (1936) DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is large and has a number of stones dating after 1860. It is surrounded by a four foot wire fence. It is private and kept in fair condition. Many of the graves are marked with limestone rock without any dates or names. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Abraham Huffman died Sept. 17, 1856 Aged 27 years 10 months Mathia S. Miller Died Dec. 28, 1834 He served in the War of 1812 & 1814 Sacred to the memory of Isaac Comer 1839 Magalena Miller born Jan. 25 1763 died Jan. 29 1860 Aged 77 years & 4 days Morgan son of Frances & Joseph Rothgeb born April 1, 1839 died April 15, 1841 Aged 2 years 4 days Barbara Huffman died July 11, 1850 Aged 23 yrs. 2 M. & 6 days Isaac H. son of I. & R.
