Morris Cemetery Location: 2 miles northwest of Stanley, Virginia Page County, Virginia DATE: None. OWNERS: The present owner is J.E. Mays. (1936) DESCRIPTION: It is in very good condition, being well taken care of. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The Mays graveyard is very old. There are no inscriptions on the older graves. Rodhen T. Mays was buried here about 1830, but there is no inscription to his grave. This is also where James H. Mays was buried. He was shot and fatally wounded in 1862 during the time he was serving in the Confederate Army. The old Mays place, which has not changed since the early days of Rhoden T.
