Cemetery Location:  2.6 miles southeast of Stanley, Virginia.  .3 mile west of 
                    Route #624.  In center of a large field.
                    Page County, Virginia

OWNERS:

Abraham Spitler deeded to James Modesitt.  Date not given.
Mann Almond, special commissioner for James Modisett deeded to John Snyder in 
1838.
1871, special commissioner for a suit against John Snyder, deeded to Joseph S. 
Nauman, Jacob R. Nauman and Andrew W. Long.
1872, Trenton O. Graves, Deputy for W.M. Campbell, sheriff of Page County, 
deeded to James P. Snyder.
1908, James P. Snyder willed to Eliza J. Suthard her life time, and then to her 
children, Mrs. Lula A. Roudabush and Hortence Huffman.
1927, Hortence Huffman deeded one half interest to Mrs. Lula A. Roudabush.

DESCRIPTION:

This old graveyard is about 20 feet square with a rock wall four feet high 
around it.  It is located on the top of a hill, in the middle of a field with no 
road leading to it.  It is in very bad condition, being overgrown with weeds and 
briars and bushes.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

This is the family burying ground of the Snyders.  There is only one grave 
marked with the following inscription:

In Memory of
Mary A.
wife of Andrew Jackson Long
Born Sept. 10, 1827
Married Nov. 22, 1849
Died June 6, 1857
Aged 29 years, 1 month and 27 days
