PAGE COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - Andrew Jackson Reeves to Lucy Reeves Edmonds African American ----¤¤¤---- Deed Book# 80 Pages 187 This Deed, Made this thirteenth day of April one thousand nine hundred and twenty one by and between Andrew Jackson Reeves, widower, party of the first part and Lucy Reeves Edmonds party of the second part. Witnesseth: That in consideration of the sum of four hundred (400) dollars, the said party of the first part doth grant unto said party of the second part with general warranty, all of the right, title, interest and estate of said party of the first part to and in that certain parcel or tract of land together with all improvements, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate, lying and being in Page County, Virginia and described in a certain deed from Margaret Miller to Moses Rives (also known as Reeves) dated December 2, 1870 and recorded among the land records of said Page County in Deed Book "P" at page 120 to which deed reference is hereby made for a more particular description of said interest wherein is hereby conveyed. Said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a stake corner of Jacob Bradley in H. Cook's line and with the same N 80 degrees E, 23-2/3 poles to a stake corner to of William Jones' timber land and with his line N 10 degrees E, 18-2/3 poles to a stake at the fence in line of the Shenandoah Iron Works Company's land and with the same S 761/2 degrees W, 8 poles to a stake corner of Shirley's heirs, N 10 degrees W, 10 poles to a stake corner of Shirley's heirs and with their division line S 76 1/2 degrees W, 15-2/3 poles to a stake corner of Jacob Bradley and with his line N 10 degrees W, 11 poles to the beginning containing two acres more or less. A read of a least one pole in width is reserved through the middle of the weed land and along the line of Shirley's heirs. The said party of the first part covenants that he has the right to convey the said land to the grantee; that he has done no act to encumber the said land; that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the said land, free from all encumbrances and that he the said party of the first part will execute such further assurances of the said land as may be requisite.
