She resided with her parents at their home until she married John Wesley Bryant on June 24, 1877 at the age of 32 years old. Within one year of their marriage, their first daughter Lelia Jane was born. Together they had two other daughters Fannie Matilda and Lila Elizabeth as well as two sons Thomas Obrine and Peter S. Bryant who both passed away at early ages. Ultimately she passed away on April 2, 1917 after a seven month battle with tuberculosis. She was buried at a cemetery on a ridge above the home place which bears the name of her husband even today, the John Wesley Bryant Cemetery which is located about two miles behind the former home of Otis "Lightning" Setliff and his wife Martha Ross Setliff on Heidelbach School Road on a very peaceful ridge just above the pond.
