I have a considerable amount of information on that branch and may reduce it to form at some convenient time. The information for the first part of this sketch was secured from several sources, but principally from the manuscript of Dr. A.D. Wood's History of Floyd County, which has been in the course of preparation for several years. Beginning with my grandfather Thomas Scott, the information which I have recorded is within the knowledge of other members of my family and myself, and I am confident that it is correct.
