From the Patrick County side, turn onto Union Bridge Road. You will wind around the backside of Fairy Stone Lake with the water to your right. Continue until you come upon Heidelbach School Road which will be the second state maintained road to the left. Go past the intersection with Heidelbach and watch to your right. There are two huge Century Link circuit boxes that sit off the road. Just after you past those boxes, there is a driveway that turns sharply into the hollow. Go to the end of the road and you will see the cemetery on the left. Please DO NOT get out of your vehicle until you talk with the person that lives in the house within sight of the cemetery as there is a huge pitbull that resides there and it does not like people. The cemetery is behind taken care of by someone. Maynard Cox and David Cox as well as Turner Hall were killed in a gun fight in that area in which three people were ultimately charged with murder. Maynard Cox and David Cox are buried together in the same grave and ultimately a book was written by Elmer Haynes called "The Fayerdale Tragedy Fairy Stone State Park". The burial is also mentioned in the diary of the Elder James Goode Lane Hash called "The Calendar Record of Events 1909-1959" that was published by his family after his death.
