Pilson's Cemetery book. The GPS coordinates are 36.7491400, -80.1776500. Driving/walking directions are as follows. Take Fairystone State Park, take a right on Fairystone Highway (formerly Route 57). Go six or seven miles and there is a convenience store on the left called Roberts Lighthouse Grill. Turn left beside of the convenience store on Goose Market Loop. Go to a brick house. Just in front of that brick house, there is a driveway that runs into the woods. Take that driveway. You will go past the Morrison Cemetery and go to the end of the road. There is a house in the holler that has a carport. Just behind that carport, you will see a foot bridge. Cross the foot bridge and go a short distance up the ridge and there is a road bed. Take a left on that road bed and take a hard climb up the ridge. As you crest the top and walk for a little way, you will see another road bed that forks to the left. Take that road bed and you will run right into the cemetery. In December 2020, this cemetery is in relatively good condition taking into consideration that no one is taking care of this cemetery. Except the last name, it is very hard to read. Additional Comments: This cemetery is quite a hike in some steep terrain. There are a lot of unmarked graves in this cemetery and it is spread out. It is mainly dominated by the Smith and Clark families with some other local families buried there as well. It is located on private property and you have to cross several different landowner's property to arrive at the location.
