John Tatum appeared in Court a Presented a list of Insolvent tithes for the year 1794 and was allowed two hundred & twenty eight for the same, Whereupon he Qualified to the same According to Law. John Ellison appeared in Court & Refused to Act as a Justice of the Peace for this County agreeable to his Commission, and Accordingly Resigned as such. SEPTEMBER COURT (29 September 1796) The last Will and Testament of Thomas Harbour was exhibited in Court Proved by the Oaths of 2 of the Witnesses thereunto Subscribed to be the Act and Deed of the said Thomas Harbour Decd. and the same was Ordered to be Recorded by the Court. Gabriel Penn son of Philip is Recommended to the Executive as a fit Person to serve as Lieutenant of the Militia in the Place of Charles Crutcher, William Witt Ensign in the place of Gl. Penn. William Pilson is appd. Surveyor of the Road from Francis Turners to the foot of the Mountain in the Place of Wm. Burnett & the list filed be his Gang.
