Tuggle James Beets and Elizabeth Beets his wife formerly Elizabeth Tuggle, Henry L. Lyon and Mary Ann Lyon his wife formerly Mary Ann Tuggle and Edmund L. Tuggle & Robert Shelton a? Guardian of the estates and persons of William L Shelton and Mary J E Shelton and James C Shelton infant heirs of Nancy W Shelton decd. formerly Nancy W. Tuggle of the County of Van Buren and State of Missouri, legal heirs and representatives of James Tuggle late of said County of Van Buren now deceased have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint Henry Tuggle of the County of Patrick in the State of Virginia our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names and for our use to ask demand sue for and recover all such sum or sums of money as is or may be due owing or coming to us from the estate of John Tuggle our Grand Father of the County of Patrick in the said State of Virginia /as the heirs of the said James Tuggle deceased, and we do hereby authorise and empower our said attorney upon the receipt of any such sum or sums of money acquittances or other sufficient discharges in our name to make and give and generally to do and perform all things necessary to be done in and about the premises as well as we ourselves could do if we were personally present, hereby ratifying and confirming whatsoever our said attorney shall lawfully do in the premises by virtue of these presents. Tuggle State of Missouri County of Van Buren SS Be it remembered that on this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven before me the undersigned Clerk of the County Court within and for the County aforesaid personally came John A Tuggle William D Tuggle James J Tuggle Henry P Tuggle who are personally known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing Power of attorney and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned and that on this 18th day of January 1848 came Robert Shelton and Henry L. Tuggle who are also known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the same and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Lyon and Mary Ann Lyon his wife who are personally known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing and within Power of attorney as parties thereto and severally acknowledged the same to be their hands and seals, their act and deed for the purposes therein expressed.
