Wesley Bryant & als. This deed made this 13 day of January in the year one thousand and nine hundred and six (1906) between J. Wesley Bryant, Celia H. Martin, and Margaret E. Bryant parties of the first part, and Lelia Wright and the heirs of her body party of the second part Witnesseth: That in consideration of the sum of $125 Dollars, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, It shall be her proportional part of all of J. Wesley Bryant's effects present and future, the said parties of the first part do grant unto the said parties of the second part with General Warranty, all of their interests in a certain tract of land lying in Patrick County, VA on the waters of Puppy Creek containing 10 acres more or less adjoining the lands of W.A. Via, Margaret Bryant and Celia Martin and bounded as follows: Beginning on a planted stone on the north bank of creek near a large sycamore (on South Bank). Thence up the hill supposed north to a planted stone near a marked pine. Thence still up the hill bearing N.W. to a planted stone near an oak. Thence still up the hill N.W. with an old pathway to sourwood pointers on top of the hill. Thence off South a few steps to a small sourwood. Thence down the hill still nearly south to a planted stone near a white oak on a ridge. Thence bearing S.W> with old fence and marked line to planted stone and small sourwood on the bank of the said creek. Thence down and with said creek as it meanders to the beginning. Celia Martin and family hereby reserves a walking path along the creek. The said J. Wesley Bryant, Celia H. Martin, and Margaret Bryant covenant that they have the right to convey the said land to the grantee; that they have done no act to encumber the said land: that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the said land, free from all encumbrances, and that the Grantors the said parties of the first part, will execute such further assurance of the said land as may be requisite. Martin State of Virginia County of Patrick to wit: I, D.H. Wood a Justice in and for the County aforesaid, in the State of Virginia, do certify that J. Wesley Bryant, Celia H. Martin, and Margaret E. Bryant whose names are signed to the foregoing writing, bearing date on the 13 day of January 1906, have acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid.
