Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & thirty five dollars current money of Virginia unto him in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the Witnesseth whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold released and confirmed unto the said Gabriel Bolling of said county one certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Fells Creek containing one hundred and ten acres it being the same more or less and bounded as followith to wit Beginning at a conditional line corner White Oak thence to a corner Maple thence north to pointers 21 degrees East 136 poles to David Morgin corner Black Gum on a branch thence down the branch as it meanders to the waggon road thence the road to said Morgins back line thence new lines North 86 degrees West 38 poles to a Black Oak North 213 degrees West 34 poles to a Chestnut Oak North 86 degrees West 38 poles to pointers South 11 degrees West 36 poles to a poplar South 78 degrees east seven poles in Allens line with that line South 76 degrees east 45 poles to Spanish Oak thence South 17 degrees of West thence to the conditional line corner Gum made thence a straight line to the beginning be the same more or less to the said Gabriel Boling his heirs & forever with all its aspectainancies with all woods, ways, water courses, two orchards, houses, fences and all other accoutrements thereunto belonging or in any wise asspecting to have and to hold the same unto the said Gab. Bolling above names with its appurtenances to hold and to fully enjoy the same and so for myself my heirs & forever warrant and defend the right & title of the land and promises to him the said Gabriel Bolling his heirs forever against the claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever either in law or equity. Witnesseth that the said Newman Helton for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred to him in hand paid current money of Virginia by the said Edward Helton and George Helton receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold by these presents, doth grant one certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred & fifty ___ acres more or less it lying and being in County aforesaid on the head of Smith’s river. Beginning at Spanish oak in Paterson’s old order line thence straight lines to old order line thence a straight course to a corner hickory in the old order line thence to a corner maple in Francis Turner’s line, thence a open line to the beginning at Francis Turner’s corner maple in Paterson’s order line in head of a branch, thence West 42 W 14 [poles] Hook’s corner hickory with his line No. 3__E 354 poles to crossing ___ branch to the said Francis Turner & Boon’s corner Spanish oak with their lines So. 19 W 406 [poles] crossing these branches to the beginning, with all houses, orchards, gardens, woods, underwoods thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the said and appurtenances ________ forever the said Newman Helton for himself and his heirs covenant and assigns forever or persons claiming the said land having writ thereunto said Newman Helton hereunto to set his hand and fix his seal. Helton of the County of Patrick of the one part and Jacob Helton and Edward Helton of the other. Witnesseth that the said Nathl. N. Helton for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds to him in hand said the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell ______ ________ and confirm same to the said Jacob & Edward Helton one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county aforesaid on the head waters of Jacks creek containing by estimation two hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less and bounded as followeth by the land of John Tugle on the North, by Jesse Hubard on the East, by some vacant land on the South and by vacant land on the West. To have and to hold the above granted land and premises with all and singular its appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof & __________of them the said Jacob Helton and Edward Helton and their heirs forever and the said Nathl. N. Helton doth oblige himself and his heirs to warrant and defend to the said Jacob & Edward Helton and their heirs a good and lawful right and title to the said land and premises with its appurtenances against the claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever, either in law or equity. VA Deed Book 4 Page 356 Helton to Martin This Indenture made this 11th of August 1815 between Nathaniel N. Helton of the one part and Moses Martin of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel N. Helton for and in consideration of the sum of forty pounds current money delivered in hand paid by Moses Martin before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and him self fully satisfied and paid, hath bargained sold released and confirmed unto the said Moses Martin his heirs and assigns forever a certain track of land lying in the County of Patrick on the waters of Sycamore creek and bounded as followeth to Wit: Beginning at Pinters in the old line thence South seven degrees west forty fore poles crossing the said creek to a red oak thence South eighty degrees West thirty fore poles to a white oak thence South forty six degrees West forty fore poles crossing the said creek to a red oak thence South forty six degrees West fifty one poles to a chestnut oak thence North twenty degrees West forty two poles to a chestnut tree. Thence new line North course to the dividing line as it meanders to the beginning containing one hundred and thirty acres more or less to him the said Moses Martin with all woods, ways, water and water courses, fences, trees, orchards, houses and all other embodiments belonging the to have and to hold the same to him the said Moses Martin his heirs or assigns for ever against me my heirs and all and every other person or persons what so ever either in law or equity recovering or having any just rite or titlement but do by these presents for ever warrant and defend the land and premises above mentioned to the said Moses Martin, his heirs and successors for ever to hold and fully enjoy the same in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this the day and year above written signed sealed and delivered in presence of us.
