PATRICK COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - William Hancock to William Lyon, 1825 ----¤¤¤---- Patrick County Deed Book 6, p. 447 Grantor: William HANCOCK Grantee: William LYON Date: 17 November 1825 THIS INDENTURE made this 17 day of November 1825 Between Wm. Lyon of one part and Wm. Hancock of the other part Witnesseth the said Wm. Hancock hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of twelve dollars to him in hand paid Bargained and sold to the said Wm. Lyon one Tract piece or parcel of land lying and Being in the county of Patrick on the waters of Big Sycamore Creek and bounded as follows Beginning at a white oak on the said creek running new line North 20 degrees east to a white oak on the Road thence with said Road to a branch that divides between the said Lyon & Hancock thence down said branch as it meanders to the creek & down said creek to the beginning containing eight acres more or less with all woods ways water & water courses to him the said Lyon his heirs etc. & I the said Hancock do warrant and defend a good write & title forever in fee simple against the claims of myself my heirs or any other persons either in Law or equity.
