Boling/Lee Deed, 1868 - Patrick Co. VA Deed Lot Lee/Henry Boling Source: Patrick County Virginia Deeds, Book 18, Pages 163-165 This indenture made and entered into this 11th day of March, 1868 between Henry T. Boling and Elizabeth E. Boling his wife of the county of Patrick and state of Virginia of the one part, and Lot Lee of the county and date aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid, to him the said Henry T. Boling by Jesse P. Epperly, for Lot Lee, at and before the sealing and delivery of these present, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, hath granted bargained released sold and conveyed and confirmed unto Lot Lee his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land, containing one hundred and forty five acres, more or less, situate and lying in the county of Patrick and state of Virginia, on the north side of Rockcastle creek and bonded as follows viz: Beginning at the corner white oak on the north side of Rockcastle creek, where John Boling's land crosses, then down the creek at high water mark crossing two branches, thence S67E75 poles to a maple at the bank of the creek, near the mouth of branch, then S66W42 poles to Spanish oak on the side of the road; then S75E71 poles to a Spanish oak; then N30E22 poles to a double chestnut oak, in Jefferson Taylor's line, thence with the road N55E18 poles to pointers, thence N61E22 poles to a Spanish oak, at or near Samuel Sneed's line, then with Sneeds old line near James Conner's fence, thence S70W24 poles to corner maple, then N10W70 poles to a chestnut tree in Conner's line, then N47W12 poles to pointers; thence N32W31 poles to a chestnut oak, then S74W28 poles to pointers and a locust stump, then N15W138 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the said parcel of land. We bind ourselves executor and administrators to make and warrant good and lawful right and title to the before mentioned land, free from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever we warrant and defend forever. Epperly Justices of the county of aforesaid in the state of Virginia, do certify that H. T. Boling whose name is signed to the writing hereto annexed, bearing date onthe 11th day of March 1868, has acknowledged the same before us in our county. And we do further certify that Elizabeth Boling the wife of H. T. Boling whose name is likewise assigned to this writing hereto annexed bearing date as aforesaid, personally appeared before us in our county aforesaid and being examined by us formerly and a part from her husband and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her, she, the said Elizabeth E.
