PATRICK COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - John McAlexander Sr. to Samuel McAlexander et al, 10 Apr 1820 ----¤¤¤---- Patrick County, Va., Deed Book 5, p. 354 Grantor: John McAlexander, Sr. Grantees: Samuel, William, Alex, John, and David McAlexander Date: 10 April 1820 THIS INDENTURE made the Tenth day of April 1820 between John McAlexander Sr. of the County of Patrick of the one part, and Samuel McAlexander, Wm. McAlexander, Alex McAlexander, John McAlexander and David McAlexander of the aforesaid county of the other part in Witness whereof the said Jno. McAlexander Sr for and in Consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the aforesaid Saml., Wm., Alexander, John and David McAlexder at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold, released, and confirmed unto the said Saml., William, Alexander, John and David McAlexander Their heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract piece or parcel of Land, situate lying and being in the county of Patrick on the Waters of Wiggon Creek to be taken out of the tract John McAlexander Sr. now lives [on] two hundred and fifty acres more or less, with this reserve that the said Saml., Wm., Alexander, John and David McAlexander is that directly or indirectly to sell, Rent, or lease the said land without the consent of John McAlexander Sr. but the Said Alexanders is now in possession of the said land and have ful powers to cultivate the same and the said John McAlexander Sr. do forever warrant and defend the land and premises above mentioned against me, my heirs, my wife, and her her heirs or either of us or our heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever either in Law or Equity recovering claiming or having any Just right, title or estate therein but do by these presents forever warrant and defend the land and premises above mentioned to the said Saml., Wm., Alexander, and John and David McAlexander their heirs and successors to hold and fully enjoy the same In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
