Cloud/McMillian Deed, 1822 - Patrick Co. VA Deed between William Cloud and Stephen McMillian January 17, 1822 Patrick County, Virginia This Indenture made this 17th day of January 1822 between Wm Cloud of the County of Grayson of the one part, and Stephen McMillian of the County of Patrick of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred forty to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have sold and do by these presents bargain, sell, release and convey to the said Stephen McMillian one Tract or part of a Tract of land situate lying and being in the County of Patrick on the waters of Lovins Creek beginning on a branch opposite a dividng ridge between where Dudley Callon now lives and said McMillian running the courses and said directions up said branch with a deed made to this said Wm Cloud by John Ogle bearing date the 21st day of February 1805 and running round with the aforementioned deed until it comes down to the same dividing ridge to the beginning containing one hundred acres more or less with the appurtenances thereunto belong likewise all the improvements thereunto pertaining unto the said Stephen McMillian his heirs executors admin. and assigns for the use behoof and the said William Cloud doth for himself his heirs executors and admin. and every other person claiming unto him forever warrant and defend the right and title of the said part of a tract of land into the said Stephen McMillian his heirs.
