Mora and Sarah his wife of the first part and Wade A. Emberson of the other part, all of Patrick County--Witnessth that in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid, the receipt is hereby acknowledged: The parties of the first part grant unto the said Wade A. Emberson with general warranties a certain piece of parcel of land lying in Patrick County on the south waters of Smith's River containing fifteen acres the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning on the public road where said Embersons own line crosses, thence with that line a south course to Hancock's corner-poplar thence with Hancock's line to the said Road, thence with the road to the beginning to have and to hod said land to him the said Wade A. Emberson and his heirs or assigns forever. Witness the following signatures and seals. P.T. Moran (Seal) Sarah X (her mark) Moran (Seal) Patrick County to wit: I. J.A. Burnett a commissioner in chancery of the County Court of said County do certifiy that P.T. Moran who name is signed to the within deed bearing date the 7th day of May 1886 has acknowledged the same before me in County aforesaid. And I do further certify that Sarah Moran the wife of P.T. Moran whose names are signed to the within deed bearing a date the 7th day of May 1886 personally appeared before me in my County aforesaid and being examined by one privately and apart from her said husband and having the deed aforesaid fully explained to her she the said Sarah Moran acknowledged the same to be her act and declared that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
