All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00029.html#0007196 September 16, 2012, 11:56 am Written: March 24, 1801 Recorded: March 1801 Patrick County, Virginia Deed Book 2, p. 22 THIS INDENTURE made this 24th day of March 1801 by George Reeves of the County of Patrick of the one part and Thomas Reeves of the County aforesaid of the other part is as follows to wit, To all persons whom it may Concern Know ye by these Presents that I George Reeves of the County aforesaid for a Consideration of the Sum of Nineteen Pounds Lawfull money of Virginia have Bargained Sold and aliened(?) unto the said Thomas Reeves a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing Two Hundred and fifty four acres by Survey Bearing date the first day of May one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty lying and being in Patrick County formerly called Henry, on the Branches of Weoging (sic Widgeon) Creek and Bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a White Oak thence new line North 10° E 40 Poles to a Chesnut Tree North 28 W 40 Poles Crossing a Branch to a White Oak North 39° E 71 Poles to a Hickory North 54 West 234 Poles to a Chesnut Oak East 121 Poles to a White Oak, South 15° E 94 Poles to a Black Gum East 40 Poles to the Beginning with all appurtenances to have and to hold the Tract or Parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the Said Thomas Reeves and his heirs and assigns to his and their own Proper use forever thereof and therewith to use and dispose at his and their will and pleasure without any manner of Challenge Claim or demand of me the said George Reeves or of any other Person or Persons for me in my name by my cause, means or Procurement, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my (sentence ends) Abel Pedigo George Reevs L.S.
