THIS INDENTURE made this twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one 
thousand Eight hundred and Eight Between Thomas Reeves of the County of 
Patrick and State of Virginia of the one part and John Reeves of said County 
of the other part.  Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one 
dollar Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid before the ensealing and 
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath 
Bargained, sold, released and Confirmed unto the said John Reaves (sic) One 
certain tract or parcel of land, Situate lying and being in the County 
aforesaid, Containing fifty acres more or less and Bounded as follows to wit, 
Beginning at a white oak on the branch Wigeon (sic Widgeon), thence new lines 
North ten degrees East forty poles to a Chesnut tree, North twenty degrees 
West forty poles Crossing a Branch to a white oak, North thirty nine degrees 
East seventy poles to a hickory thence new lines agreed to by partys to the 
Beginning.  With all woods, ways, waters, and water courses, trees, orchards, 
houses, fences and all other the emoluments thereunto belonging or in any wise 
appertaining to have and to hold the same unto the said John Reeves, with its 
appurtenances, to hold and fully enjoy the same, and I do for myself my heirs 
&c forever warrant and defend the right and title of the land and premises to 
him the said, John Reeves, and his heirs forever, against the claim or demand 
of any person, or persons whatever, either in  law or Equity In witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above 
written ~

		The within Indenture of Bargain and Sale was acknowledged in 
Court and the same was produced to be recorded by the Court ~
