VA Patrick County, Va., Deed Book 3, p. 451 Grantor: William SHARP, Sr. Grantee: William SHARP, Jr. Date: 24 August 1811 This Indenture made twenty fourth of August in the year of our lord 1811 between William Sharp Sr. of the County of Patrick and State of Virginia of the one Part and Wm. Sharp Jr. of the other Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty dollars Current money of Virginia the said Wm. Sharp Sr. in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these preseents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold released and Confirmed unto the said Wm. Sharp Jr. one certain tract or parcil of land situate lying and Being in the county of aforesaid containing fifty acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit, Begining on a ash on the north side of gobluntown creek, in Wm. Sharp Sr. (Jr.?) line runing up the said creek a gum Tree thence new lines south to a chesnut tree on Wm. Sharp's Jr. (Sr.?) line thence with Sharps line to the Begining -- With all woods ways water and water courses Trees orchards houses fences and all other the emoluments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the same unto the said Wm. Sharp Jr. with its appurtainances to hold and fully enjoy the same & I do myself my heirs etc. forever warrant and defend the right and title of the land and premises to him the said Wm. Sharp Jr. and his heirs forever against the claim or demand of any person or persons whatever eighter in law or Equity.
