Tudor/Tudor Deed, 1897 - Patrick Co. VA TUDOR TO TUDOR DEED (1897) Recorded in Deed Book 30, pages 198-199, Patrick County, Virginia. This Deed, made this the 14 day of July 1897, between John Tudor and Nancy A. Tudor his wife of the first part and J.H.L. Tudor of the second part all of the County of Patrick and State of Va. Witnesseth that the parties of the first part has [sic] sold to the party of the second part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars all of the following tract of land adjoining the said John Tudors own land, Wilson and others situated on the South side of the Danville and Western Rail Road about ten miles East of Stuart lying on the waters of Little Mill Creek in Patrick County Va. and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a fallen chestnut tree now pointers in Wilson's line then N35 1/2 E140 po crossing a branch to a white oak N45 W16 1/2 po to a beach on the South band of the branch about 12 or 14 feet East of the mouth of a small branch where it runs into Little Mill Creek then off crossing the said creek N53 1/2 W10 po to a apple tree near the foot of the hill then N75 W5 po to the right of the said road way then up the same S.66 W33 po to a bend S73 W.32 po to bend S.80 W.8 po to the old line then South 13 1/2 po to Creak [sic] South 20 po to a peach tree S.1 E14 1/2 po S32 E21 po S26 E9 1/2 po S.30 E17 1/4 po S. 41 E.12 1/2 po to the beginning, containing 47 acres more or less with a general warranty to the same. Via a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, do certify that Nancy Tudoee [sic] the wife of John Tudor, who having been examined by me privately and apart from her said husband did acknowledge the foregoing ded [sic] to be her act and did not wish to retract it.
