  This deed made this 14th day of April in the year 1903 between Sarah J. Whalin 
& German L. Whalin, her husband of the County of Patrick and the State of 
Virginia of the first part and S. L. & T. J. Turner of the said County & State 
of the second part witnessth: that for and in consideration of the sum of two 
hundred seventy five dollars $275, one hundred dollars cash, the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged. One hundred on or before the 14th day of April 1904 and 
the remaining seventy-five dollars on or before the 14th day of April 1905 with 
interest at the legal rate. The said Sarah J. Whalin & German L. Whalin, her 
husband of the said County and State of the first part doth bargain and sell to 
the said S. L. & T. J. Turner of the second part all of a certain tract or 
parcel of land lying in the County of Patrick and State of Virginia on the 
waters of Puppy Creek and containing eighty -seven and one half acres (87 ½) 
more or less and bounded by the land of R. E. Wright and S. L. & T. J. Turner. 
The said Sarah J. Whalin & German L. Whalin agrees and binds themselves and 
heirs to warrant and defend the above named title to the above named S. L. & T. 
J. Turner. Witnessth the following signautres and seals this 14th day of April 
1903.
