THE DAILY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Tue., April 28, 1936, p. 2, col. 4 [edited]. 

Stuart.  Mrs. Ingebell Martin, 53, wife of Will B. Martin, died at the Stuart 
hospital early Monday morning, following an operation for ruptured appendix.  
Services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home.  Besides her husband, she is 
survived by the following seven children:  Mrs. Smoot Holt,  John and Buster Martin

of Stuart,  Mrs. Vergie Belton and Mrs. Ladye (?) Ayers of Greensboro, N.C.,  Mrs. 
Hattie M. Moore of Hookerton, N.C. and Moir Martin of Martinsville, and three 
brothers, Sammy, Sparger and Elijah Handy.  Several half brothers and sisters also 
survive.
