The Enterprise, Stuart, VA May 1948
MRS. LILA ELIZABETH MARTIN

  Mrs. Lila Elizabeth Martin, wife of Charlie B. Martin, 66, died at her home on 
Route 4 May 6.

  Funeral services were held at the Good Will Church May 7 at 1:00 p.m., Eld 
Hollingsworth officiating.   Interment was made in the church cemetery.

  Surviving are the husband, Charlie B. Martin; two sons, Austin C. and Amos Lee 
Martin; one daughter, Hallie Mae Martin and one sister, Fannie Rorrer, all of 
Route 4, Stuart.

Additional Comments:
She was the daughter of John Wesley Bryant and his wife Judith Ann Cox Bryant and 
was born on the cool waters of Puppy Creek.  She succumbed to breast cancer after 
a two year battle with this insidious disease.
